This, and a certain je ne sais quoi, were gleaned from the table of her husband’s uncle, Hubert de Givenchy, the legendary couturier, and one of the century’s finest hosts. Translating to “Animals of the Savanna,” the Animaux de la Savane Plat Bondil (Large Platter), handmade and hand-painted in Moustiers France (where the craft of faïence has been mastered for centuries), is a far cry from anything sauvage.
